Members of St. Paul Parish in Akron were invited during the 2006 Lenten season to “nail” any burden, illness or struggle in their faith to a wooden cross placed in the narthex of the church. “Our hope is that by bringing triublations to Our Lord, He will bring about a transformation in our lives so that something good will result from our suffering,” a notice in the church bulletin said.
