Enough for a snow day?

  • Erin measures snow at 10 inches

Drifting snow measured 10 inches on the Neptune Ave. side of my grandparents'’ home on N. Firestone Blvd about 4 p.m. Sunday. It was 13 degrees with a windchill of minus 2 and winds of 13 miles per hour. Some snow is possible Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Other areas were worse. Boston had 26 inches of snow in what was called the Blizzard of 2005. The official report on the amount of snow which fell here overnight was not available. There was 3.3 inches Saturday or 7.7 inches so far for the month.

Erin won a basket filled with crafts materials donated by Suzanne Inglis’' first grade class and Lisa won a basket filled with "“Made in Ohio”" products donated by Janet Hazlett'’s fourth grade. They also enjoyed working with crafts and the breakfast. Lisa and Erin are classmates in Mrs. Hazlett’'s fourth grade. Posted by Hello

My and Lisa's Trip to Neopia

My and Lisa's Trip to the Wonderful World of Neopia

By Erin Liggett

One night Lisa and I were getting ready to have a sleep over. Everything was great until we saw what changed our lives forever. We ran outside. It was very dark.
Lisa asked, “What’s that?”
“I do not know,” said Erin. As a strong wind came along it seemed to say: (You have been chosen to save Neopia. You need to defeat Glorg, an evil thing, very strong.) But we do not–“Ah,” said Erin. The wind pushed them in.
They were falling! But they seemed to be falling into a magic place. Lisa said, “When are we going to land?”
Soon, because I see A waterfall,” said Erin.
“We’re going to fall in the water,” said Lisa.
“Hold your breath!” said Erin.
A big splash came upon the land. When we got up it was dark. Creatures of all sort were staring. “Hi, I’m Erin and this is Lisa, my best Friend,” said Erin.
“Well I guess we’ve chose the right people. Only a true friendship can destroy him.” the wind voice declared.
And then everyone was screaming because Glorg came down from his tower. He came over to us and said, “So you two want to defeat me, Eh!’
“Yes! And we are going to destroy you,” said Lisa.
“So you’re so tough. I guess you would not mined me cooking you for supper,” said Glorg.
Lisa screamed. I jumped, but he was too big.
Suddenly a voice came and said, “Are you O.K.” It was a power fairy.
“We need to save her,” said Erin. “She’s my best friend.”
“O.K.!” said the Power Fairy. “Here you can use this to defeat Glorg, a heart.”
“O.K.,” said Erin sadly. “I’m on my way.
“Well, I’m here,” said Erin. She did a backflip into the window and started checking rooms in the castle. In the fifth room she saw Glorg teasing his pet rats and putting their food beside their cage.
In the sixth room I saw Lisa.
‘Are you O.K.?” I asked, running in.
“Yes, but can you untie this rope first,” Lisa asked.
“Sure,” said Erin. “But as soon as I finished untying Lisa he was yelling: “You brats dare try to escape me?” asked Glorg.
“Oh, believe me we won’t need to escape you when we’re through,” said Erin.
“Why? What are you going to do,” said Glorg.
“This!” said Erin.
“Glorg, oh Glorg, evil and mean. melt oh melt. This is your doom,” said Erin and Lisa. They both threw the heart. It hit him and he melted to death.
“Good work,” came a voice. You will now return to your homeland.”
A strong wind blew and there were in Lisa’s room again.
“Hey, we’re back,” said Erin.
“And it’s all thanks to you said Erin.
Come on Lisa and Erin, the movie is starting said Lisa’s little sister, Catherine.
“O.K.” we both yelled.
