Blowing out the birthday candles

It took a little bit of huffing and puffing for Erin to blow out the 11 sparkler candles on this cake baked by Mom. The candles actually sparkled like Fourth of July sparklers. The cake and ice cream was served for a party at Baba and Grandad's,

Erin got the American Girl doll she is holding from Mom and Dad and a heart-shaped locket engraved with ERIN and the date from Baba and Grandad. There were a number of other gifts of course.

Erin celebrates 11th birthday

This is a new photo to celebrate Erin Liggett's eleventh birthday. She is now 4 feet, 11 1/4 inches tall and that is just three-fourths of an inch from the top of the growth chart Grandad keeps for Erin and sister Anna. Next year Erin will be off the chart. We went toy shopping on Sunday and stopped at Swenson's in Montrose. Baba baked a cake and more gifts will be opened after Anna's swimming lesson Tuesday evening. The family will go to Pittsburgh Zoo on Wednesday.
